Cold and Flu Compendium
Cold and Flu Prevention
Try to avoid the following dietary habits:
-
Eating saturated fats (supplement your diet with Vitamin E and F when
you haven't avoided saturated fats).
-
Eating devitalized, overly cooked or processed foods
-
Eating excess starches and glutenous foods ( very mucus forming)
-
Eating wrong food combinations (see food combination chart)
-
Drinking with meals, because this dilutes the digestive juices needed for
digesting food.
-
Eating sweets, especially after a heavy meal. Sweets will stress
out the adrenal glands, and temporarily lowers the body's immunity.
Sweets, including fruit, after a heavy meal will ferment in the intestines,
creating alcohol and acetic acid, a condition which is mucus forming.
