    Cold and Flu Prevention

Try to avoid the following dietary habits:
  • Eating saturated fats (supplement your diet with Vitamin E and F when you haven't avoided saturated fats).

  •
  • Eating devitalized, overly cooked or processed foods

  •
  • Eating excess starches and glutenous foods ( very mucus forming)

  •
  • Eating wrong food combinations (see food combination chart)

  •
  • Drinking with meals, because this dilutes the digestive juices needed for digesting food.

  •
  • Eating sweets, especially after a heavy meal.  Sweets will stress out the adrenal glands, and temporarily lowers the body's immunity.  Sweets, including fruit, after a heavy meal  will ferment in the intestines, creating alcohol and acetic acid, a condition which is mucus forming.
