On paper, I am a Certified Colon Hydrotherapist and a Certified Nutritional Consultant. I studied in Santa Fe, NM to become
a colon hydrotherapist through a school that is certified by the International Association of Colon Therapist
(I-ACT).
My course work has included anatomy and physiology along with digestive pathologies and colon
flora imbalances. I have studied how to use nutrition, herbs, and supplements for internal cleansing and optimal health.
Of particular interest to me has been learning how to assist people with health problems that aren't being addressed fully by modern
medicine. Some of these difficulties are back troubles, allergies, chronic sinus infections, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, candida
related complex, food intolerances, irritable bowel syndrome, constipation, and other digestive difficulties. My training has also
included courses on professionalism, ethical standards, hygiene and safety.
In my heart, I am a person who has spent the past 6 years fighting for my life in my quest to overcome systemic yeast,
environmental illnesses and severe digestive difficulties. My search led me through both conventional and alternative medicines.
In very significant ways, there is nothing more important to me than my health.
I am painfully aware of the difficulties embodied
in having a chronic illness. I refuse to sit still and let this happened to one single other person. It was lonely, scary and
economically devastating. Through this process, a passion for being optimally healthy now and for many years to come has
been lit under me. This passion has come to involve assisting others to maintain and regain their health.
For many years, I have
been a committed participant in the quest for a world where all people have their rational needs met. In this way, my illness has
been a blessing. Because of it, I have a job that I love. In this job, I take my difficulties, learn from them, and then teach
others how to overcome similar difficulties. This is blessed work.
A key reason for this web site is that I wanted to bring all of the resources that I have gathered to one place. I also wanted to
make these resources affordable. I have spent over $60,000 on my health because my health insurance company wouldn’t
cover the my naturopathic doctor or yoga, or massage, or colon hydrotherapy, or rolfing, or any of the therapies that helped.
Nor would the insurance companies cover the medicines that I used: organic foods, herbs, vitamins and minerals.
When you are
sick, you want help. I know that the resources that I have pulled together on this site can help many people. I must tell you
straight out although, that when your sick, health is about changing your lifestyle. It is hard work. I truly hope that this web site
helps you on your quest to optimal health.
